It is rated to handle up to 100 lbs.I think it would hold up easily for a 80 pound dog.

No, they are not adjustable.
How well do the beds hold up? Will the seams fell apart?
It is rated to handle up to 100 lbs. Our cots have never had problems with seams.
Can water go through the mesh or does it get trapped?
Liquids will go right through. You could put a pad below and it will catch it.
